The University of Queensland is recruiting two students for MPhil projects associated with the mineAlloy Centre. The projects will be focused on understanding the mechanisms of abrasive wear in mining industry and on developing wear-resistant materials for these environments:

  1. Selection of ceramics for high-tonnage ore chutes: understanding structure-property-performance relationships.
  2. Development of a new generation of ‘NiHard’ alloys for ore chute liners.
